学术报告：Improved error term in Weyl asymptotic formula for the planar disk

专家简介：王作勤，中国科学技术大学数学学院教授。2008年博士毕业于美国麻省理工学院，之后先后在美国霍普金斯大学以及密西根大学工作。2013年入选中组部青年千人计划，回到中国科学技术大学担任教授、博导。主要研究兴趣为谱几何、辛几何、半经典微局部分析。

报告摘要：In this talk I will discuss some recent results regarding the remainder term in the two-term Weyl law for Laplacian eigenvalues of the planar disk. The main idea is to convert the problem into a lattice point counting problem, and then apply methods from harmonic analysis. This is a joint work with Jingwei Guo and Weiwei Wang.
